“As the State Representative and Vice Chair of the Salem School Committee, I am proud to endorse Meg Stott for Salem School Committee.
City Councillor Meg Stott brings a rare and powerful combination of municipal legislative experience, finance expertise, and community-centered leadership that the Salem Public Schools need during this important transition. She is also the proud mom of a Salem Public Schools student, has seen firsthand the impact of our educators, and she has a vested interest in the success of our school district.
As a city councillor who has deep knowledge of our current city financial landscape, she currently serves on the High School building committee and has a record of responsiveness to our constituents. She has the experience and collaborative leadership style that will allow her to excel as a Salem School Committee member.
Meg has been a firm supporter of the new Salem High School building project, has supported increases to the Salem Public Schools budget, and she has been a leading voice for road safety for our children. I am deeply grateful for her continued leadership and partnership on the Automated enforcement on red light cameras in school zone home rule petition — a critical measure to protect out children and families across our city.
